Tipperary ETB has launched a groundbreaking Certified Plastering Course to tackle the skills shortage in the plastering sector. This work-based training is perfect for those looking to start a career in plastering or to enhance their skills in the construction industry.
📅 Starting in September 2024, the course will run for 31 weeks, with students spending 3 days a week in our state-of-the-art Construction Skills Training Centre in Tipperary Town, and 2 days gaining hands-on experience in the workplace.
🛠️ What will you learn?
A wide range of plastering finishes for both internal and external surfaces.
The correct use of tools and materials for dry lining and plastering.
Comprehensive maintenance of tools and equipment.
Essential qualifications for construction work, including Health and Safety, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, Working at Heights, and SAFE Pass.
🎓 Upon completion, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and skills to embark on a career as an entry-level Plasterer, with the potential to progress further in the construction sector.
💡 Who can apply?
Must be over 16 years of age.
Should have a basic qualification (LCVP LCA or QQI Level 3 Major Award) and proficient in English.
Open to both EU and non-EU/EEA applicants (with permission to access FET educational services in Ireland).
